Taken at Macritchie Reservoir, this fallen flower is reminiscent of some people in our lives. Simple, but yet so beautiful.
Sometimes the best people in our lives are like this flower: easy to miss. So often, all we need to do is slow down and look around us. Look for the little things that we take for granted, that we walk past without noticing.

Chinese bird? Or is it Japanese?
Another post after such a long time. This is again from a visit to Chinese Gardens or Japanese Gardens (I'm not too sure as they are just side by side and I can't differentiate them).
It's strange how I find so many posts from myself about pictures from Chinese Gardens. I used to think it was boring. Maybe it's because it's the place I go to most often for photography after I learned composition. I seem to have been shooting rather randomly before that.

SURPRIIIIISE!
It's Mothers' Day today here in Singapore! This is what my brother and I did!
We surprised our mother with breakfast and a gift. Breakfast was bacon, eggs, toast and tomatoes. The gift was the Minnie Mouse behind the plate.

Bird among the tangles
I shot this at a park close by Chinese Garden.
I was standing under a tree with a friend, when I heard a little chirp. I looked up, and among the tangled mess of branches and leaves was this little bird, which was a nice contrast against the confusing, messy branches of the tree.

A lamppost so Chinese
This photograph was taken in Chinatown in Singapore.
Despite the post title, I have no idea if there is anything Chinese about this lamppost. It looks different from the other regular lampposts seen in Singapore, and it was in Chinatown, so I believe has some Chinese element in it.

Field sunset
Sunset!
This photo was taken in a field. Silhouetted the plants growing around to give the setting sun more prominence.
a joy.
This picture was taken in Singapore Botanic Garden. Marker and i were walking around SBG, looking for things to take and we found that the swans were acting a little strangle(seems to be protecting the area the egg was). as we got closer to it, we saw something that looks like an egg. So there was this moment when the swans got distracted for awhile and there was our opportunity to take pictures of it. hmmm, but the egg was gone a week later which was sad.

Watch your step!
Make sure you watch where you put your feet when walking in Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.
You wouldn't want to step on one of these crocodiles by mistake and upset it! These signs are placed where the crocodiles are most commonly sighted. There are many spread around the area, but this one was at the top of the bridge. The crocodiles here are usually spotted in the water below, so it should be safe. Still, do watch your step, they are known to bask in the middle of the trail sometimes. Oh and by the way, I increased the blacks level in this picture to darken the background and put focus on the sign.
