Finally back from Vietnam! I definitely had a great 5 days there, with good company. Vietnam was somewhat eye-opening, and showed me things that I never expected. Here's a photo from Đà Lạt, Vietnam. This little unremarkable alley lies just a short walk from a beautiful park full of flowers and plants, an example of an interesting coexistence.

Close up of a water lettuce at Fort Canning Park here in Singapore. This was taken with my G11. Since I'm going to Vietnam soon and I'm not bringing my D5100, it's time to get reacquainted with the G11. The texture and leaf structure of this plant is really beautiful.

This is one of my older photos, from the KTM railway track which has now been shut down. . This is from one of the small houses beside the track, most of which are now abandoned. The brightly colored door stood out from the rest of the cluttered house, a remnant of the building's possible beauty long gone by.

It's been a while since the World Orchid Conference ended, but I still remember the joy and marvel at the incredible designs and hybrids of plants. Truly, memories are things that will last. They are what make seeing a photograph so enjoyable.
